Unique
Nokia N8 as portable HTPC / Multimedia center - N8 connected to a tv via HMDI coupled with bluetooth keyboard and mouse is the ultimate portable HTPC for everyone. ** Plus the 3.5mm audio jack accepts most multimedia speakers, so we are not limited to our TV's speaker if no HDMI sound system is present.
Games
Angry Birds - a popular and addictive game on iphone/ipod touch ported to n8.
Video Samples
Low light and outdoors
Ovi Maps
Pinch and zoom demoed
Firmware Updates
Near final (release) version final
Swype on N8 - Swype allows a user to enter a word by sliding a finger or stylus from letter to letter, lifting only between words but I don't think it will be helpful for us Filipinos since most of the time we converse through text by tagalog words or shortened msgs /txt lingo.
No words yet on the exact release date for philippines.

Let's hope we will get soon some better N8 reviews (of retail units, not prototypes), after the Nokia World event on 14-15th september.
I just hope too. Knowing nokia, they don't give much time on new development or enhancement when it comes to world event. Most of the time they talk about new products or services instead. That is the problem if you launch products too early, you have so much time to maintain the hype.
Some say that Nokia had to start their promo campaign for N8 earlier than they wanted just because of Eldar Murtazin's bad review of the early prototype he got in april.
Yeah, i've read about that one too. Nokia should have understand that eldar mentioned that its just a prototype and there's still a very big room for improvement and the release is not too soon.
I could blame nokie as well, since if someone not knowledgeable enough about the process of product announcements, prototype , retail versions and releases has read that review, their first impression will stoop down. And there are quite a lot of people.
wow, i'm getting excitied. Thanks for the tip but is the source credible?

Some (possible) good news : Anis, the owner of an N8 Facebook page posted a couple of hours ago that "The Greenbelt Nokia Center Salesmen just confirmed the arrival of N8 on September 30 in the Philippines".
