"*You'll notice that the Center for Research and Educational Networking's acronym is misspelled. It Should be CERN."

What do you mean ? CERN stands for Conseil Européen pour la Recherche Nucléaire which is today The European Organization for Nuclear Research.

Or I am just missing some joke you made here, lol ?

What is wrong in that graphic is that they reversed two words on the company name, from the correct "Corporation for Research and Educational Networking" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corporation_for_Research_and_Educational_Networking), which indeed has the acronym CREN, to the incorrect "Corporation for Educational and Research Networking", that could mistakenly lead to the CERN acronym.

Am I the only one seeing this ?
Or I am just making a joke off myself now ?? :D

@pinaylover

You're very right. I confused CREN with CERN (one responsible for the infamous "large hadron collider"). Will update the post, thanks for pointing that out.

Well in the meantime MBA updated the graph with the correct name (as you can see it in your blog because you have a direct link to the picture), while Gizmodo still has the old graph.
